Conical Spring

Conical Springs are Cone shaped compression springs. These are designed to provide a near constant spring rate. They also provide a solid height lower than a normal spring.

 

Conical Compression springs are used where the large end is to work in a bore and the small end needs to work over a rod. Conical Compression springs offer the advantage of a reduced solid height compared to straight compression springs.
